Trocar Sweep announces the closing of additional investment for the expansion of product line

Dallas, TX – Trocar Sweep LLC, a privately held medical device company focused on the development of single use laparoscopic instruments, announced today the closing of a second round of investment comprised of existing seed investors for the purpose of expanding the current 5mm instrument to include the 8mm robotic and 10mm laparoscopic instruments.  Trocar Sweep has seen consistent surgeon utilization of the 5mm instrument the product expansion is in response to request for sizes that are more common among certain surgeons, their particular practice or geographic region.  Trocar Sweep is a laparoscopic surgical instrument used to quickly and thoroughly remove fluid and debris from the laparoscope camera port.  During a laparoscopic procedure fluid and debris accumulate on the camera port which smudges the camera obscuring visualization, increasing operative times and causing frustration for the surgeon and team.  If used properly Trocar Sweep will eliminate camera smudging cause by a dirty trocar.
